Bishop Stuart University library was established in 2003 when the University officially started with the purpose of supporting teaching and learning process plus research.

The library inherited some information materials from National teachers college as a starting point and gradually has built and developed to about 29805 textbooks, dissertations, periodicals and subscribed to Electronic journals.

The library received donations from Uganda Christian University as the parent University, Makerere University and individuals with a heart to develop the library since it is the core of all academic activities.
