Makerere University Master of Instructional Design and Technology Admissions
The Academic Registrar Makerere University invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the Master of Instructional Design and Technology (MIDT) Programme tenable at Makerere University. The MIDT Programme is a flexible learning programme offered using online/blended/distance learning approaches. The programme will commence in February.
Limited numbers of competitive scholarships are available to Ugandans and South Sudan Nationals.
Mode of Delivery
The programme shall be delivered using a combination of limited face-to-face sessions (one week at the beginning of each semester) together with home study sessions supported by specially designed online study materials and activities.
Admission Requirements
In addition to General University Admission Requirements, eligible candidates must have a good first degree (at least a second Class lower Division) or its equivalent in any academic discipline. Candidates with a Pass Degree maybe considered after demonstrating professional growth such as Research and Publications or at least a Second Class Post Graduate Diploma.
Also, all applicants should possess minimum ICT skills and competencies in related fields of study. All applicants should have access to a Computer/Laptop/Smartphone with internet connectivity.
Annual Tuition Fees
Ugandan & East African Students: Ug Shs. 5,200,000/= (Five Million, Two hundred thousand UG Shs Only)
International Students: Ug Shs. 10,700,000/= (Ten million, Seventy thousand UG. Shs Only)
Application Procedure
Hard copies of application forms are obtainable from the Directorate of Research and Graduate Training, 3rd Floor, Senate Building, Room 307 after payment of an application fee of Ug. shs 50,000/= (Ugandan applicants) and Ug. Shs. 151,500/= (International Applicants) to any Stanbic Bank Branch and DFCU Bank, Centenary Bank or Post Bank using Makerere University paying-in-bank slips. International applicants can also pay by bank draft as cheques will not be honoured.
Completed application forms can be emailed to drgt@rgt.mak.ac.ug or returned to the Directorate of Research and Graduate Training, Room 307.
All forms must be accompanied by the following:
- Relevant supporting certified copies of certificates, and academic transcripts.
- Letters from 3 Referees.
- 2 passport photos.
