DIPLOMA IN NURSING [DN] (UPGRADING)
Duration one year six months, For upgrading / continuing students.
Entry Requirements
- Applicant MUST be registered by the Uganda Nursing and Midwifery Council (UNMC) & already qualified as a nurse with 2 years” experience in that field.
- Applicant MUST satisfy the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) & the Ministry of Health (MoH) interview panel.
DIPLOMA IN MIDWIFERY [DM] (UPGRADING)
Duration : one year and six months, For upgrading / continuing students.

- Applicant MUST be registered by the Uganda Nursing and Midwifery Council (UNMC) & already qualified as a nurse with 2 years” experience in that field.

Duration one year six months, For upgrading / continuing students.

- Applicant MUST have completed their A-Level and obtained at least 2 principal passes, one of which MUST be in Biology.
- Applicant MUST satisfy the requirements of the Joint Admissions Board (JAB) of the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES).
- Applicant MUST have been in school within 3 years prior to application.
CERTIFICATE IN NURSING [CN]
Duration : Two years, six month. For applicants seeking career in nursing.

- Completion or possession of an O-Level Certificate with passes in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Must be 18 years and/or above.
- Must have been in school within the previous 3 years before applying.
- Candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) and the Ministry of Health (MoH) interview panel.
CERTIFICATE IN NURSING [CN]CERTIFICATE IN MIDWIFERY [CM]
Duration : Two years , six month. Suited for applicants seeking a career in Midwifery.

- Completion or possession of an O-Level Certificate with passes in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Must be 18 years and/or above.
- Must have been in school within the previous 3 years before applying.
- Candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) and the Ministry of Health (MoH) interview panel.
Admission is done twice every year (January intake and July intake) and the minimum requirement for admission at Dokolo School of Nursing and Midwifery is a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least a pass or credits in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and English, all obtained in one sitting. Students with obtain UACE will have added advantage. Certificates equivalent to UCE will also be considered.
