CPA Requirements In Uganda

To register as a CPA(U) student, one must have at least one of the following qualifications.

DEGREE

A degree from a recognised University. If the qualification is obtained from outside Uganda, it must be accredited by the respective government.

CERTIFICATES/DIPLOMAS

Accounting Technicians Certificate from recognised professional bodies such as ICPAU, KASNEB, etc. Diplomas pursued in a period of at least two years from recognised universities or institutions of higher learning. If the qualification is obtained from outside Uganda,it must be accredited by the respective government. Certificates from other professional courses such as ICSA, CPS(K), CIPS, CIM etc.

A-LEVEL

A Uganda Advanced Certificate of Educaton(UACE) with at least two principal passes plus a Uganda Certificate of Educatoin (UCE) with atleast 5 credits, including English Language and Mathematics or the Equivalent. 

How Much Does CPA Cost In Uganda?

Tuition Fees

200,000 per paper for Level 1;Shs. 250,000 per paper for Level 2 and Shs. 300,000 papers for Level 3 for every examination sitting. These costs are in addition to Examination Fees which are payable directly to ICPAU.

CPA Alex Chips Ocitti was recognized at the 11th graduation ceremony of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) for completing the Certified Public Accountants of Uganda [CPA-U] course in a record 2 years. He is a full member of ICPAU.
