For this article we won’t be looking at the bank statements that we have come to know, but we shall be briefly looking at mobile money statements —to be specific, MTN mobile money.
MTN mobile money customers always want to see their statements —to know how their mobile money transactions stand. If you have the MTNMoMo application, it is so much easier to follow up and provides more transactions than when using the USSD option.
In this article, we shall specifically look at the MTNMoMo app, but to use the USSD —dial *165*8*4# and select either a mini statement or request statement. On requesting for a statement, you’re given an option of a day or week, meaning you can only receive you mobile money transaction statement for a day or a week.
We recommend using the MTNMoMo app as it gives much detailed, organized, and more transactions compared to when using USSD.

You will be then requested to enter you 5-digit mobile money pin to continue, the pin is confirmed with another OTP to prove the number you’re using is yours. Enter the pin to log in to your MTN mobile money app dashboard —and here’s where you will access your statement from.
Once logged in, the app will show you, your mobile money balance and your recent transaction.
Then to view your statement, below your mobile money balance, click ‘See Statement’. On clicking the option, it will show your recent mobile money transactions.
