Bachelor of Quantitative Economics (Weekdays) At Gulu University Entry Requirements
General Minimum Entry Requirements
The minimum entry requirements for admission to a bachelor’s degree
programme are
(a) For direct entry
(i) Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE); and
(ii) At least 2 principal passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of
Education (UACE) obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
(b) For mature age entry

(i) 25 years of age and above; and
(ii) Must have passed mature age entry examinations with 50% mark and above.
Admission Requirement For Bachelor of Quantitative Economics
- The Uganda Certificate of Education (or its equivalent) and
- Two advanced level passes in Arts or Science subjects at the same sitting of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education Examinations or its equivalent (U.A.C.E)
The subject combination used in admitting candidates to any of the Bachelor’s Degree Programmes through the Direct Entry Scheme considers subjects that are Essential for that particular programme, Relevant Two best done, Desirable and Others.
Mature Age Entry
For admission under the Mature Age Entry Scheme, a candidate must pass the Mature Age Entry Examinations of Makerere University for any of the Bachelors Degree programs.
Diploma Holders
A candidate shall be admitted for any of the Bachelors Degree Day/Evening Programme if she/he has at least a Second Class Diploma award from a recognized institution.
Bachelor of Quantitative Economics (Weekdays) At Gulu University Course Duration
The BSQE prepares students to complete both an Economics BS and MS in approximately 5 years. BSQE students with a strong economics record are likely to be admitted to a graduate degree program.
