How To Apply For Water Connection In Uganda?

Procedure

In-Person Application

Start by visiting your respective National Water & Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) office nearest to you and get entered into the process with the following:

Two passport size photographs for individuals or a corporate stamp.

Proof of ownership of the property or a copy of your tenancy agreement if you are a tenant

A copy of your identification card.

A letter from the Local council chairperson.

Approach the service desk and request for the application form read through the instruction carefully and fill it accurately and submit it to the attending staff

You’re information will be processed and entered into the NWSC data base and booked for a survey , a surveyor will then be sent to the customer’s premise to determine the material requirements.

Connection expenses are then calculated by the surveyor based on the connection type (water or sewage), distance from the mains, whether it’s a new connection or separation of the account.

The customer will then give a payment advice slip and pays new connection fees, whose amount depends on the size of the service for instance a half inch, three quarter inch or a one inch connection.

Upon payment of the connection fee you will be booked for the connection date , a plumber will be sent to the customer premises to proceed with the connection plan
