The partner that was found was the United Pentecostal Churches International of Uganda (UPCIU) to which most of the founders of Grotius School of Law and Professional Studies belong. UPCIU provided the University with land including buildings in Fort Portal Municipality, Mubende Town Council, Mbarara Municipality and in Masaka district. The university held its first graduation on Thursday June 8, 2006 at the main campus in Fort Portal
Courses Offered
(a). Bachelor of Business Administration Programme (BBA), Duration: 3 years
(b). Diploma in Business Administration (DBA), Duration: 3 years
Being aware of the growing economic interdependence and globalisation, a programme of Business Administration is not only suitable for students who wish to acquire a broad-based training for a career in business, management and government sectors, but also for graduates who wish to complement their degrees with a more business oriented qualification. The business administration curriculum is designed to provide a sound familiarity with the many intricate but practical business concepts. Furthermore, it is designed to expose students to the challenges facing today’s managers in both business and industry.
The curriculum is composed of general education courses to broaden the students’ education base, major required courses to provide a broad base of business administration expertise, and a block of electives. The electives allow the student to build a unique educational experience designed to meet individual needs.
