Mayanja Memorial Medical Training Institute(MTI) was established to respond to the increasing demand for health professionals in Uganda and the region. The products of the institute will be able to work both locally, nationally and internationally. The institute was conceived in March 2020 and registered in August 2020
Courses Offered
The institute opened and admitted students in November 2020. It was officially registered in May 2020 by the Ministry of Education and Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council. Other courses as indicated below begun in April 2020

- Diploma and certificate courses in HIV/AIDS counseling.
- Diploma and certificate courses in clinical and community dental health.
- Certificate course dental health.
The institute offers opportunity for the candidates in-service with certificate in enrolled comprehensive nursing to upgrade to registered nursing course
Admission Requirement
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Community Health, Diploma in Registered Nursing and Diploma in Medical Laboratory.
To be eligible for these courses, the candidates must have the following, 2 principles passes in biology and chemistry at A level, and a credit in each of the 5 subjects i.e. biology, chemistry, English, mathematics and physics at O level.
- Certificate in enrolled comprehensive nursing and certificate in medical laboratory.
