What is Express National ID?
To apply for a National Identification Card in person, the applicant must visit any nearest Enrolment Centre of the National Identification Management Commission. You can also find the enrolment centres’ locations present all over Uganda.
All applicants must be 18 and over and are required to bring a hard copy of their valid Ugandan E-Passport (no photo copies accepted) and proof of Dual Citizenship if applicable. Applicants should also provide a copy of their parents National IDs if they are alive.

How much is an express National ID in Uganda?
The first Express National ID is free and a replacement costs UGX 50,000. All NIRA fees are paid in the bank.
