Kibosho School of Nursing, abbreviated as KSN. The aim of establishing the school is to broaden the students’ appreciation of nursing through acquisition of current knowledge, skills and attitudes hence leading into expected change of behavior appropriate for nursing /midwifery practice in contemporary life.

To be the leading institution in producing highly qualified and competent professionals nurses who will provide nursing care effectively at different healthcare settings and cope with existing and emerging health issues.
MISSION
To establish conducive and sustainable training environment that will allow students and graduates to perform competently at their relevant levels and aspire for the attainment of higher knowledge, skills, and attitudes in promoting health, preventing diseases and caring for sick as well as rehabilitating the debilitated individuals in all settings.
PROGRAMME OFFERED WITH ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Ordinary Diploma in Nursing and MidwiferyHolders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with four (4) Passes in non-religious Subjects including “D” Passes in Chemistry, Biology and Physics/Engineering Sciences a Pass in Basic Mathematics and English Language is an added advantage.

OBJECTIVES
The Student nurses shall strive to build skills that enable them to demonstrate on how to: Utilize problem-solving approach in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting the care provided to clients.
Involve the patient/client, family and community in mutual goal setting and planning of care.
Integrate socio- cultural values in delivering care to clients.
Utilize standards of care and patient outcomes to monitor the effectiveness of the nursing delivery system at household, community, departmental and health unit levels.
Give appropriate client education and counseling.
Develop caring relationships with patient and families.
Use research evidence in the nursing practice.
Develop mechanisms for skills in bargaining, lobbying, advocacy, negotiating and entrepreneurship.
Provide supportive supervision to ensure quality of teaching and learning how to ensure quality care at all levels of service delivery.
