Kulangwa Prinmat Nursing and Midwifery School Courses Offered
DIPLOMA IN NURSING AND MIDWIFERY COURSE
The goal of this programme is to improve the overall quality of health care delivery through competently trained nurses and midwives who are confident, dynamic, well-informed, with moral integrity, and able to work flexibly in different contexts in meeting the demands of society.
The minimum entry requirements to the diploma in nursing and midwifery course shall be a Possession of D in Biology, D in Chemistry, and D in Physics. A pass at D grade in English language or mathematics is an added advantage.
Opportunities for carrier development.
After completing the diploma program, the graduate will qualify to continue with other advanced nursing programs and therefore has an opportunity to channel to other advancements (if interested to do so). Depending on the program structure of your interest, you may join the following programs;-
- Bachelor of science in nursing (BScN)
- Bachelor of science in nursing with education (BScNE)
- Bachelor of science in midwifery (BScM)
- Certificate in anesthesia
UPGRADING DIPLOMA IN NURSING AND MIDWIFERY COURSE
The Certificate in Nursing and Midwifery Prescribing aims to prepare nurses/midwives as independent prescribers enabling them to provide patients with effective access to medications and expands the role of nurses and midwives in progressing the health care needs of the future.
A. Admission requirements:
The minimum entry requirements to the diploma in nursing and midwifery course (in service) shall be Possession of;-
i. Enrolled nurse (EN) with registration certificate and license to practice from Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council (TNMC).
B. Opportunities for carrier development.
After completing diploma program, the graduate will qualify to continue with other advanced nursing programs and therefore has an opportunity to channel to other advancements (if interested to do so). Depending on the program structure of your interest, you may join the following programs;-

BASIC COMPUTER COURCES
The purpose of this programme is to enable students to apply basic office applications operations, help-desk support, installation of computer software, and office computer setups.
Specific Objectives of the program include:
(i) Ability to use basic computer skills to perform computer operations and office application packages;
(ii) Ability to apply different computer software skills and knowledge to install, configure & service computer software and provide web sites services;
(iii) Ability to apply basic electronics theories and electrical circuit diagrams to install, service, maintain and repair computer hardware and its peripherals;
(iv) Ability to provide help-desk support and quality customer care using communication and problem solving skills.
