Application for registration is to be made on as prescribed in the first schedule to the Rules; Separate applications should be made for registration of each work; Each application should be accompanied by the requisite fee prescribed in the second schedule to the Rules.

An application for copyright registration contains three essential elements: a completed application form, a nonre- fundable filing fee, and a nonreturnable deposit that is, a copy or copies of the work being registered and “deposited” with the Copyright Office.

Cost Of Copyright Registration In Uganda
An application for registration is made to the Registrar of Copyright and an application fee of UGX. 50,000 paid. A copy of the work for which protection is sought must be attached e.g. Books, CD, DVD. Step 2: The application is then published in the Uganda Gazette for 60 days.
