Undergraduate Degree Programmes
4.1 General Minimum Entry Requirements
A candidate shall be eligible for consideration for admission to a Degree programme of The State
The University of Zanzibar if the candidate has the following qualifications:
i. Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (C.S.E.E.) or equivalent, with passes in FIVE approved subjects THREE of which must be at Credit level obtained prior to sitting for the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A.C.S.E.E.) or equivalent;
AND
(Direct Applicants)
ii. Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (A.C.S.E.E.) with two principal passes with a total of 4.0 points (6.0 points for the health-related programme) in Two Subjects defining the admission into the respective programme.
Note
- For all Applicants except Graduates of 2014 and 2015:
A = 5; B = 4; C = 3; D = 2; E = 1; S = 0.5 and F = 0 point
The minimum Principle in this case is an ‘E’ grade. - For graduates of 2014 and 2015:
A = 5; B+ = 4; B = 3; C = 2; D = 1; E = 0.5 and F = 0 point.
The minimum Principal in this case is a ‘D’ grade. - Principal-level passes in Divinity/Islamic Knowledge are not counted
