Procedure For E-Registration For Teachers In Uganda
No person shall teach in any public or private school of any description unless he or she is registered as a teacher or licensed to teach in that particular school.
An application for registration as a teacher shall be made to the Director of Education in Form B as specified in the Fourth Schedule to this Act.
Apply In-Person For E-Registration For Teachers In Uganda
To apply for registering as Primary or Secondary school teacher, the applicant has to visit the office of the District/Municipal Education Officer, and District /Municipal Inspector of Schools/ Town council.
Visit the office of Education Department get the application form B for registering as Primary or Secondary school teacher in the District/Municipal Education Officer, and District /Municipal Inspector of Schools, from the respective department.
Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
Fill the application form B as applicable to your requirement and relevant information. Attach all the documents with the completed Application form B and submit it to the respective department at the office.
Pay the required amount of fees as directed, at the office. After submission, the application form and attached documents will be verified and validated correspondingly by the concerned officials.
Every teacher whose name is entered in the register shall pay the registration fee specified by the Act.
When the officials find the application and documents in order, they will proceed to register the concerned primary or secondary school teacher.
Once all the necessary processes got done, the registration will be done and the Registration Certificate will be issued to the applicant.
A registered teacher shall also pay in respect of the issue to him or her of a duplicate certificate the fee specified by the Act.
The Director of Education may, in appropriate cases, endorse on a certificate of registration issued under this section a condition that the holder of the certificate of registration shall only teach a particular subject or only teach a particular class in a school.
A certificate of registration shall be in Form A as specified by the Act.

Any person who completes successfully as a teacher a course of training approved by the Ministry responsible for education shall be eligible, on application made to the Director of Education,to be registered as a teacher.
