What Is Dependant Pass?

A Dependent Pass is valid for the same duration as the main work pass. To renew a DP, the work pass holder’s employer or employment agent must submit a renewal request with MOM. A DP can be renewed up to 6 months in advance of the pass expiring.

How To Apply For Dependant Pass In Uganda?

A dependent pass applies to a person who by reason of age, disability of other incapacity is unable to maintain himself or herself and depends upon another person for his or her maintenance and includes a spouse.This pass is for the relatives (wife, husband, and children) of a Ugandan or a non-Ugandan on valid permit living and/or work in Uganda. This permit is linked to the principal (resident permit holder) and is cancelled upon expiry or cancellation of the principal’s permit. This permit doesn’t permit holder to work in Uganda.

Effective 1st May 2021, DP holders will not be able to get a LOC and will need to obtain an EP, S Pass or Work Permit to work in Singapore.   1. Visa Fees are non-refundable and all payments are subject to a bank charge.
  2. Language; all documents attached should be in English.

Steps For Application

  • Step 1: Log into the Immigration Portal and select start new application
  • Step 2: Accept the terms and conditions displayed in the Disclaimer.
  • Step 3: Select the visa or permit type, category and sub category
  • Step 4: Complete the application form
  • Step 5: Upload the required documents; a six-digit application ID eg. (234790123) is automatically generated as the reference number
  • Step 6: Make payment for applications that require prepayment.
  • Step 7: Upon approval, for application that don’t require top up payment, an approval letter will be generated and emailed to the applicant on the home page
  • Step 8: Upon approval, make a top up payment for applications that require a top up payment. After payment an approval letter is generated and emailed to the client
  • Step 9: Report to the immigration office/ border for biometric capture with all documents uploaded, payment receipts, approval letter and passport

Who Are Eligible For Dependent Visa?

Spouses, partners and unmarried children under the age of 18 are eligible for dependent visas.
