License for investment activity is a permission that provides the right to engage in certain type of financial activity, issued by the state body of the country specially authorized for the foregoing. One of the types of licensed financial activity is investment activity. If you want to sell mutual funds, variable annuities, and other investment packages, you’ll need this license. Administered by FINRA and known as the limited-investment securities license, the Series 6 license enables you to sell what are known as packaged investment products.

Copy of the Certificate of Incorporation.
Copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association.
A brief business plan.
Proof of financial ability to implement proposed project, bank statement or letter project support form a bank.

Opening cash deposit of Ugx.50,000.
Copy of Investment Club bye laws and minutes with a resolution to open the account.
Copy of the Investment Club registration certificate.
Copy of valid Identity documents for Account signatories

Fill Entry / Work permit form.
2 passport size photos.
Photocopies of passport.
Attach Covering letter from company.
Land title.
Uganda Investment Authority License.
Letter from Ministry of Agriculture regarding intended agriculture venture.
Recommendation from LC’s or RDC’s office.
Fees For Investment License Application In Uganda
No charge is applied in obtaining the investment license. There is a threshold of UGX 1175233.00 for foreign investors and UGX 587616.50 for Ugandan investors to be eligible for an investment license.
