KSNM was initiated in 1985 as domiciliary clinic by a trained Enrolled Midwife to be able to deliver health services in the local area. She also trained village volunteers for 1yr in order to bridge the gap, the village volunteer’s training was later transformed into Nursing Assistants course for 2yrs. The Nursing Assistants course was then dissolved. In the year 2013 the Institution was upgraded to a fully licensed School of Nursing and Midwifery by the Ministry of Education and Sports with conjunction with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council
