How do I become a clearing and forwarding agent in Uganda?
Requirements
- Application to the Commissioner Customs Department.
- Non individual TIN with import and export as a registered tax type.
- Customs clearing agent license from the Commissioner Customs.
- Valid license number for the period.
- The Customs Agency employees must have valid TINs with up-todate email addresses.
How do I appoint a clearing agent in Uganda?
To appoint an Agent, Consignee/Traders selects Appoint Agent.
A dialog box will open for the trader to enter the TIN and date of appointment of the firm being appointed.
The TIN of the client appointing will be auto populated and the trader enters the TIN of the clearing Firm to appoint the agent firm in the next.
