M-Pesa is a virtual banking system that provides transaction services through a SIM card. Once the SIM has been inserted into the card slot of the mobile device, users can make payments and transfer money to vendors and family members with SMS messages. It enables millions of people who have access to a mobile phone, but do not have or only have limited access to a bank account, to send and receive money, top-up airtime, make bill payments and much more.
Visit your nearest M-PESA agent outlet or Safaricom retail centre and present a mobile phone with a Safaricom SIM card and valid Identification document. After successful registration, you will receive a confirmation message and a 4-digit M-PESA PIN sent by SMS. If you wonder if you can do Cash App to Mpesa, you will be disappointed to know that it is not possible as the platform doesn’t work internationally. Sending Money Using Mpesa Services In Uganda
Open the M-PESA App.
On the home tab select send and request.
Select send money.
Enter phone number or select the number from your contacts.
Enter amount.
Complete the transaction using M-PESA PIN or biometric authentication.

From your mobile phone, simply dial *840#
Opt-in by accepting the ‘Terms and Conditions
Select the option of ‘Send Money Abroad’
Enter your preferred PIN
Select the option of ‘Send Money’
Enter the phone number of the international recipient. Use this format for entering the number – 256XXXXXXXXXX
Enter amount and M-PESA Global pin to confirm the transaction.

Open the MySafaricom app on your smartphone.
Select the option M-PESA
Next select M-PESA Global
Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’ when prompted
Now select ‘Send’
Continue inputting the details as and when required such as amount and PIN to complete the transaction.

Go to M-PESA menu on your phone.
Go to Lipa na M-PESA, PayBill option.
Enter the banks business number (consult with bank)
Enter account number which is your bank account number.
Enter amount.
