Requirements For UK Visa In Uganda
A UK visa is the authorizing document that gives worldwide citizens the right to enter, stay temporarily or live forever in the territory of the UK. A visa is usually either a stamp you receive in your passport or a document given by a UK consulate or embassy in your country of residence. UK Visas and Immigration is a division of the Home Office responsible for the United Kingdom’s visa system. It was formed in the section of the UK Border Agency that had administered the visa system.
You can choose to apply for a long-term Standard Visitor visa if you visit the UK regularly. This visa lasts 2, 5 or 10 years. You can stay for a maximum of 6 months on each visit. If you’re under 18 years old when you apply, your long-term Standard Visitor visa will only be valid for up to 6 months after you turn 18. Visit visas, including standard visitor visa applications, are currently taking on average 7 weeks to process, however some applications might take longer.
Tier 1 visas are for particularly exceptional peoples who can contribute significantly to the UK as well as investors and entrepreneurs. Tier 2 is used for the Skilled Worker system. Tier 5 visas are also known as Temporary Worker visas. These visas are issued for no longer than 12 months in the UK. No work is allowed, except for permitted activities related to your work or business overseas. This might include attending meetings and study for more than 30 days. Note however that none of these activities may be the main reason for your visit.
