Services offered by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB)
UNEB was established by an Act of Parliament in 1983, Cap 137 Laws of Uganda; legalizing all actions taken with effect from 1st July 1980 when it effectively started operating.
The Board is a body corporate mandated to conduct and manage examinations in Uganda for the end of the educational cycle at Primary and Secondary school level: and to conduct examination-related research.
UNEB KEY SERVICE CATEGORIES
UNEB registers candidates, recruit and train Examiners, Inspect and award/withdraw centre statuses and conduct examinations for PLE, UCE and UACE Examinations.
We offer globally competitive certifications for successful candidates in PLE, UCE and UACE examinations.
While we do not print certificate replacements, at UNEB, we verify against our records, statements of Candidate’s results in the event that their original certification is either lost or unavailable.
EQUATING OF RESULTS
Because education is a global service, we help holders of foreign qualifications to get education services in Uganda by equating their foreign results to the UNEB Standards.
We do education assessment related research and disseminate results to inform policy and interventions.
