The purpose of the welfare system is to support wellbeing by: providing social and financial security sufficient for an adequate standard of living. Social welfare is the condition or well being of a society. • It can be considered as a state or condition of human. well-being that exists when social problems are managed, when human needs are met and when social opportunities are maximized.

Social workers help relieve people’s suffering, fight for social justice, and improve lives and communities. Most people think of social workers when they think of poverty alleviation and child welfare. Many social workers do that kind of work and we do much more. Such programs usually cover all employees of firms above a specified size and are financed by employer contributions to some form of insurance plan.
