Entry Requirements

Doctor of Medicine

All students who apply for Doctor of Medicine at SFUCHAS need the following:

Entry requirements
Direct Applicants.
Applicants must have three principal passes in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum entry of 6 points: Applicants must have a minimum of D grade in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.

Equivalent Applicants.
Applicants must have a Diploma in Clinical Medicine or Clinical Dentistry with an average of “B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0. In addition, an applicant must have a minimum of “D” grade in any five (5) non-religious subjects at O-Level.

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences

All students who apply for Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences at SFUCHAS need the following:

  1. DIPLOMA IN MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCES (DMLS) – 3 YEARS

A holder of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including Chemistry, Biology, and Physics/Engineering Sciences. A pass in Basic Mathematics and English Language is an added advantage.

2. DIPLOMA IN MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCES (Upgrading) – 1 YEAR

Holders of Technician Certificate in Medical Laboratory Sciences with a GPA of not less than 2.0.

Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences

All students who apply for Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences at SFUCHAS need the following:

  1. DIPLOMA IN PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES (DPS) – 3 YEARS

A holder of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects, including passes in Chemistry and Biology. 

  1. DIPLOMA IN PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES – (Upgrading) – 1 YEAR

Holders of Technician Certificate in pharmaceutical sciences with a GPA of not less than 2.0.

Mode Of Application

The Principal of ST. FRANCIS UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF HEALTH AND ALLIED SCIENCES ( SFUCHAS ), invites suitably qualified candidates for admission into various programmes for the academic year 2024/2025.

Applicants are required to apply online through this portal and follow the instructions given to complete their applications. Payment can be done via mobile money (M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, and Airtel Money) or directly into the SFUCHAS bank account – CRDB Bank after getting the Control Number.
