St. John School of Nursing Uganda
St. John School of Nursing Uganda is one of the Nursing schools in Uganda
The St John School of Nursing and Midwifery was founded in 2009 by the Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. John Mugisha and his wife Joy Mugisha. He saw first-hand the shortage of trained staff in health facilities and so when he retired he decided to do something about it.
With limited resources, he started the St John School of Nursing and Midwifery. Shortly a diploma in General nursing will be added to the program. The St John school is a non-profit organization and the student fees cover the costs of running the school. St John has also set up a sponsorship to support students who are disadvantaged to pay their fees.
