STEMMUCO Admission Forms

The management of the Stella Maris Mtwara University College (STEMMUCO) has released the minimum entry requirements for successful admission into the undergraduate and postgraduate (Degree, Ph.D., Master, Diploma, Certificate, Short Course, and Non-Degree) programmes respectively for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Interested Candidates may apply to any of the Stella Maris Mtwara University College (STEMMUCO) programs (Courses) at any time and be admitted subject to fulfilling all STEMMUCO admission entry requirements for the 2024/2025 academic year.

PROGRAMMES OFFERED:

1. UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES.

(a) Bachelor of Arts with Education (BAED) Full Time.

(b) Bachelor of Arts with Education (BAED) Weekend.

(c) Bachelor of Philosophy with Political Science (BPHLOP).

(d) Bachelor of Philosophy with Education (BAPHLED).

(e) Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (BASO).

(f) Bachelor of Laws (LLB).

(g) Bachelor of Arts in Economics (BAEC)

(h) Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics (BSc.MS)

(i) Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) (Full-time; Evening; Weekend).

Entry Requirements.

Completed  A-Level studies before  2014  Two  principal  passes  with  a  total  of  4.0  points  from  Two  Subjects  defining  the admission into  the  respective  programme  (where  A  =  5;  B  =  4;  C=  3;  D  =  2;  E  =  1).  

2.  Completed  A-Level  studies  in  2014  and  2015  Two principal  passes  (Two  Cs)  with  a  total  of  4.0  points  from  Two  Subjects  defining  the  admission  into  the  respective  programme (where A  =  5;  B+  =  4;  B  =  3;  C=  2;  D  =  1).  

3.  Completed A  -Level  studies  from  2016  Two  principal  passes  with  a  total  of  4.0  points from  Two  Subjects  defining  the  admission  into  the  respective  programme  (where  A  =  5;  B  =  4;  C=  3;  D  =  2;  E  =  1  and  at  least  a GPA of 3.0 for Ordinary Diploma

Non-Degree Programs

A. Two years Program

  • a)Diploma in Law (DL)
  • b)Diploma in Business Administration (DBA)
  • c)Diploma in Librarianship and Records Management (DLRM
  • d)Diploma in Accountancy (DA)
  • e)Diploma in Community Development (DCD)
  • f)Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management (DPSM)

Entry Requirements

This is a two years program which envisages training and producing students with the best knowledge and skills in their fields.

Entry Requirements for Direct Entry.

i. Candidate  with  a  minimum  of  4  (4Ds)  passes  in  the  Certificate  of  Secondary  Education  Examination  (C.S.E.E  “O” level)  in  the  approved  subjects  obtained  prior  to  sitting  for  Advanced  Certificate  of  Secondary  Education  Examination (where  A=Pass,  B=Pass,  C=Pass,  D=Pass,  0  F=Fail)  together  with  at  least  one  (1)  Principal  Pass  in  the  Advanced Certificate  of  Secondary  Education  Examination  (A.C.S.E.E)  in  the  approved  subjects  obtained  in  the  sitting  for  the Advanced  Certificate  of  Secondary  Education  Examination  (A.C.S.E.E).  (Where  A=5,  B=4,  C=3,  D=2,  E=1,  S=0.5,  F=0) OR,

ii. Candidate  with  a  minimum  of  4  (4Ds)  Passes  in  the  Certificate  of  Secondary  Education  Examination  (C.S.E.E  “O” level)  in  the  approved  subjects  obtained before sitting  for  Advanced  Certificate  of  Secondary  Education  Examination (where  A=Pass,  B=Pass,  C=Pass,  D=Pass,  F=Fail),  together  with  an  NTA  Level  4  Certificate  from  an  accredited  or recognized institution.

iii. Candidates  wish  to  join  Ordinary  Diploma  in  Primary  Teacher  Education,  Must  have  attained    Division  ONE,  TWO  or THREE in Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (C.S.E.E “O” level)

B.   One year Program

  • a) Certificate in Law (CL)
  • b)Certificate in Computing, Informatiom and Communication Technology (CCICT)
  • c)Certificate in Business Administration (CBA) Full-time /Evening / Weekend
  • d)Certificate in Librarianship and Records Management (CLRM)
  • e)Certificate in Community Development (CCD)
  • f)Certificate in Accountancy (CA) Full-time /Evening / Weekend
  • g)Certificate in Procurement and Supply Chain Management (CPSM) Full-time /Evening / Weekend

This is a one year program which envisages training and producing students with the best knowledge and skills in their fields.
