About Uganda Technical College Kyema
Uganda Technical College-Kyema is a tertiary institution of learning which offers both Certificate and Diploma Courses in Engineering.
It is under the Ministry of Education and Sports headed by the Department of Business, Technical and Vocational Education Training (BTVET).
The College was founded in 1948 to offer technical training to World War II veterans. It therefore started admitting primary school leavers as a Technical school.
In 1972 it upgraded to a Technical Institute admitting secondary school leavers ‘O’-levels to pursue craft certificate courses.
