Are UNEB S4 Examination Results Out?
KAMPALA – Marking of the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations has entered the fourth week, Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has said.
“Marking for the Uganda Certificate of Examination exams is still underway and will be proceeded by several quality assurance processes before the outcome can be determined. The official results of the Exams will be announced at appropriate dates that will be communicated in due course,” UNEB stated in a tweet on Wednesday.
The tweet follows information posted on social media by an unknown person to the effect that “Form Four candidates failed this year. Teachers have not been teaching. No work done”. The information is attributed to UNEB executive director Dan Odongo.
UNEB has, however, dismissed the allegation as unfounded, false and called upon the public to disregard it.
“Please also note that the UNEB executive director Dan Odongo whom the quote is attributed to does not have a Twitter handle. The public is hereby asked to remain calm as the Board finalizes the various processes before the release of results,” UNEB states.
UNEB spokesperson, Jennifer Kalule Musamba, said marking UCE examinations started early December, this year.
She, therefore, labelled the allegations on social media as baseless, saying no one can determine the overall performance of Senior Four candidates at this time when making is still underway.
“There are so many quality assurance processes including data entry, adjudication and grading. This is carried out before you get a general overview of the performance of the candidates,” she said, adding that the baseless information causes alarm yet they do not want their parents and candidates to get scared.
