The school is accredited by Ministry of Education and recognized by National Council for Higher Education (NCHE). It is regulated and supervised by Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC); and it is an authorized Examination Centre for the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Examinations Board (UNMEB).

Courses of study guide the student to adopt the required professional attitudes and approaches. Content delivery and examination is guided by the ministry of education and sports curriculum.

Competencies are developed in critical areas such as Microbiology, Parasitology, Clinical chemistry, Haematology, Immunohaematology, Histopathology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Socio-Psychology, Primary Health Care, Information Communication Technology (ICT), General Laboratory Methods, Laboratory Management, Entrepreneurship, First Aid And Research Methods.
