TUMU Medical Institute is located in Rugongo, Karungu -in the newly created district of Buhweju in western Uganda, which aims at increasing access to basic health care by the Ugandan population through the delivery of the National Minimum Health Care Package.
The Institute builds local capacities through training of health professionals. Currently, the institute offers a 2 year course in Enrolled Comprehensive Nursing and soon will begin offering courses of Registered nurses, Lab technicians and counseling and guidance among others.
TUMU Medical Institute is a privately owned- community health care focused institution attached to a modern hospital and the only hospital in the district. It is a member of TUMU GROUP OF COMPANIES.
The institute admits both O-LEVEL AND A-LEVEL graduates.

- Completion or possession of an O-Level Certificate with passes in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Must be 18 years and/or above.
- Must have been in school within the previous 3 years before applying.
Candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) and the Ministry of Health (MoH) interview panel.
