ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL COURSES

  1. MASTERS’ BY RESEARCH The MMS is Research based, building on the coursework at the Postgraduate Diploma level obtained at UMI. Applicants must have passed the Postgraduate Diploma with at least a Second class.
  2. TAUGHT AND CONTINUED RESEARCH BASED MASTERS PROGRAMMES (WEEKEND) ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR DIRECT MASTERS: Applicants shall be Holders of a Bachelor’s degree from an Institution of higher learning recognized by NCHE OR a Professional Chartered qualification equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree, and working experience of at least one year.
  3. MASTERS’ WITH PRE-ENTRY EXAMINATION
    1. An honours Bachelor’s Degree from an Institution of higher learning recognized by NCHE or a Professional qualification equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized professional body
    2. Working experience of one year
    3. Mandatory passing of a GMAT.
    4. Shortlisted applicants will receive invitation letters for the GMAT via their email addresses.
  4. POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA COURSES
    1. A good degree from a recognised University, OR a Professional Chartered qualification equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree, and working experience of at least one year.
    2. Participants who complete the Postgraduate Diploma courses with at least a second class can proceed to do research for the Master’s Degree. In effect the Postgraduate Diploma constitutes the first year of the Master’s Degree programme.
  5. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR DIPLOMAS:
    1. Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least One Principal Pass and Two Subsidiaries AND Uganda Certificate of Education
    2. (UCE) with at least 5 Passes or a two-year certificate course from a recognised Institute.

  3. Scan and upload academic documents in one PDF file that will be attached after filling the Form
  4. A non-refundable application fee of Shs.40,000/= for Ugandans, East African applicants or $26 or equivalent for international students per set.
  5. Signup using your Full Name, E-mail and Mobile Phone Number, please note that your name must be similar to the one on your supporting academic documents for your application to be considered valid.
  6. A password will be sent to both your e-mail and mobile phone number.
  7. The system will prompt you to change the password to the one you can easily remember.
  8. To fill a form the applicant clicks on the APPLY NOW button displayed on the running scheme.
  9. Obtain a payment advice slip by clicking on the “Pay for Form” button
  10. Successful applicants will receive their admission letters via their student portal
