Applications, Admissions and Registration Procedures

The self-managed application is designed to make the applicant an active part of the enrollment process. The applicant is to complete the application form attach all of the supporting documents and submit them to Registrar’s office of The Uganda Pentecostal University. The application deadline is a month before the beginning of each semester. Applications that do not meet the deadline will be considered in subsequent admissions, on the basis of special consideration.

Uganda Pentecostal University Application Requirements

Application forms for admission to The UPU are available at the Admissions and Registration office and they can be downloaded from our website, www.upu.ac.ug. A complete application package should be submitted in full to the office not later than one month before the opening of the semester applied for. Applications that do not meet the deadline will be considered in subsequent admissions. 1 A completed and signed application form
2 Official copies of all secondary, post- secondary, college and university certificates
3 Four recent colored passport size photographs
4 International applicants must have their academic certificates and transcripts translated in English and equated by the National Council for Higher education.

The application form on return will be reviewed by Admissions Officer and the Registrar for the program applied for. When the qualified applicants have been selected, a list will be compiled of which will be posted on UPU notice boards. An applicant is responsible to provide full and accurate information in an application and to notify the University of any likely or anticipated changes to information submitted. Once an applicant accepts an offer of admission, he/she agrees to abide by the rules and regulations of UPU. All students will be required to demonstrate their acceptance by signing the university’s instruments of identity and the Uganda Pentecostal University’s rules and regulations.

Admission Letter

Every admitted applicant will receive an admission letter. This letter states the program the individual has been admitted to, the year, the registration number and the mode of admission.

International applicants

International applicants must first have their qualifications translated and then equated by Uganda National Examinations Board. Admissions will then be given when they are found to meet the requirements for each program described above.

Student Registration numbers

Each admitted student will get a registration number reflecting the year of admission, the program admitted into, the admission number and the country of origin.

Categories of Admission

Students may be admitted to UPU under one of the following categories:
1 Regular Admission (full time)
2 Weekend program
3 Holiday program
4 Evening program
