Jerusalem Institute Lira is a private multi-disciplinary health training institute which was started in 2010. It is registered by the Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Education and Sports under registration number; MOESTS/BTVET/147 for Jerusalem Institute of Health Science & Technology and ME/VOC/153 for Jerusalem School of Nursing & Midwifery.
We have specious and ambient learning environment located in Barlwala, 2 km along Lira-Soroti road.
The institution is fully equipped with Health Care Demonstration tools, Laboratories, Computer / ICT Laboratories, a stocked Library and most importantly competent instructors that have dedicated their lives to bettering the standards of Health Care in Uganda.
We have health programs like; clinical medicine, pharmacy, theatre techniques and Health service management & Leadership among others.

Entry Requirements
- Completion or possession of an O-Level Certificate with passes in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Must be 18 years and/or above.
- Must have been in school within the previous 3 years before applying.
Candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) and the Ministry of Health (MoH) interview panel.
Certificate in Midwifery [CM]
Entry Requirements
- Completion or possession of an O-Level Certificate with passes in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Must be 18 years and/or above.
- Must have been in school within the previous 3 years before applying.
