Ntinda Vocational Training Institute (NTVTI) is a public institution under the Ministry of Education and Sports which was established through cooperation between the Governments of South Korea and Uganda for the job seekers, the unemployed, the youth and incumbent workers.
Courses Offered at Ntinda Vocational Training Institute
Ntinda Vocational Training Institute , offers the following courses that is examined by Uganda Business and Technical Examination Board (UBTEB) running for a duration of two (2) years where a certificate is offered after each academic year.
This is the equivalent of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) offered by Uganda National Examination board (UNEB).
At Ntinda VTI we offer the basic courses in the following fields:
- National certificate in Automotive Mechanics (NCAM)
- National certificate in Electrical installation systems and Maintenance (NCES)
- National certificate in Fashion and Garment Design (NCFD)
- National certificate in Plumbing (NCPL)
- National certificate in Welding and Fabrication (NCWF)
Short courses are offered in the following fields of training:
- Automotive Mechanics (NCAM)
- Electrical Installation Systems and Maintenance (NCES)
- Fashion and Garment Design (NCFD)
- Plumbing (NCPL)
- Welding and Fabrication (NCWF)
By the end of the course, a trainee will have acquired enough practical skills to engage in productive work within the trade of choice.

National Certificate Courses in Vocational Skills
The Two Year National Certificate Courses offered include:
- Fashion and Garment Design
- Welding and Fabrication
- Plumbing
- Automotive Mechanics
- Electrical Installation Systems and Maintenance
Two modes of Training are available from Monday to Friday every week:
Day Session: 08:00am – 4:00pm
Evening Session: 4.00pm – 8.00pm

Term II: 25th June to 21st August
Term III: 14th September to 27th December
Application Fees: Shs 35,000 including the Bank Charge

Target Group: O-level or its equivalent
Boarding Facilities: Not Available (All Government VTIs in Kampala currently do not have this provision. But we do recommend our trainees to known Private Hostels)
Note that we train youths and adults who;
- already have a vision on what they want to become in this world by specializing and focusing in their dream fields of study
- want to obtain employment in factories, industries, sites, workshops and setting up self-employment in future
- after completion of a national certificate, one can later progress in academics while they work and become great Engineers, Politicians, Instructors, Business Men and Women.
