JOB DETAILS:

Post: Community Liaison Officer
Responsible to: Special Project Coordinator
Location: Kisinga, Kasese
Contract Length: 3 year renewable contract (subject to a successful probation period of 4 months)

Agri Evolve (U) Ltd are seeking a qualified, experienced and motivated candidate to work in the community to provide leadership in the promotion of gender equality and the remediation of child labour cases identified within the local community. The role will involve working closely with the community on social projects and community welfare

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting communities to overcome a variety of social challenges
• Training Agri Evolve staff in gender equality and child labour issues
• Liaise with local councils, government and NGOs to overcome social problems
• Liaising with school management to ensure retention of children at school

Key Requirements:

• The successful candidate will be qualified to at least degree level in an appropriate subject.
• Significant experience of arabica coffee processing and production
• Good leadership skills to motivate all staff to work to the highest standards
• An excellent communicator
• Passionate about making a difference and developing communities
• High level of computer literacy
• Critical thinker and good decision maker
• The ability to work with initiative, solve problems and get the job done
